About Shady Mavis

 Shady Mavis is an acoustic music trio that plays a variety of tasty tunes, from the rootsy side to folk, country and bluegrass. They have crafted numerous original songs as well as carefully chosen covers that they put their own spin on. They truly enjoy what they are doing and are focused on combining sweet vocal harmonies with the genuine love for playing music. They have played many festivals throughout the province, as well as clubs and private functions. Shady Mavis is Don Gammie on guitar & vocals, Elaine Somerfield on bass & vocals, and John Whittington on guitar, mandolin & vocals.
